What would your future look like if you knew when to be afraid and when to be fearless?

This event was originally scheduled for May 16th

Lena DiGenti was raised in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition, where fearlessness in everyday life is a primary tenet. Locally, she’s best known for her ten-year stint creating the Plan b burger brand as Chief Strategy Officer.

"At 25, wearing overalls and my hair in plaits, I was doing ad sales for a healthy living magazine in Santa Monica. When the new owner announced (unbeknownst to me) that he was naming me the President in front of the whole company, I excused myself, threw up, then learned how to do the job. Embracing fearlessness, I adopted three children from the foster care system as a single parent, have started several businesses, and continue to explore fearlessness every day."

Let’s explore together, the messages our bodies send us around fear and when those messages are useful and when they are holding us back.

Victoria Foster

What would my future daughter say?

That was the question Victoria Foster, Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Better Future U.S., asked herself while looking out the window of her 41st-floor office as a then Investment Banker.  And it was the question that sparked her journey to design her own future and unleash her own untapped potential to create more meaningful, impact for the world.

Victoria's journey took her around the world to help organizations adapt and grow with the future. At our SIP session, Victoria will share this journey and how she uncovered the critical need to build a renewed relationship with the core archetypes of the human condition — masculine and feminine energy — to design the next level of leadership and business. She will also guide us through our own voyage of discovery to unearth the hidden value within ourselves and what could be possible when we integrate the masculine & feminine into our life and work.

This Sip Session is full.

industryREdesign™ - Shape your Future

industryREdesign is an exclusive series of workshops that uses a cross-industry, cross-generational approach to creating solutions for our industry's greatest challenges.

The first challenge: Create an environment that encourages deeper collaboration between firms

Industry conditions are such that most firms are unable or unwilling to be as open, transparent and collaborative as they could be. This not only limits the potential of the project, but causes unneeded conflict that can drive up the cost and the time needed to complete the work. In this workshop, we will generate ideas that can be applied individually and collectively to change the bias of the industry from defensive to collaborative.

Why should you come to this event:

• You want to influence changes that benefit you, your firm, your clients and the industry

• You want to learn how to better engage with industry peers of different ages, experiences and disciplines

• You want to join with others and be part of something that has never been done, but could change everything

This will be a highly interactive workshop so it will be important to try and be there right from the start. The official program ends at 8pm, however we expect and encourage the conversation to continue as late as the teams energy invites. Heavy Appetizers will be provided and a cash bar is available

About industryREdesign

industryREdesign is a new channel of programming offered by the Construction institute that was created with the idea, that if we want to change the industry, that change needs to be generated by professionals of every age, and every discipline within our industry. industryREdesign will take form of a series of interactive workshops designed draw out and convert inspiring ideas into pragmatic actions everyone can apply to their own professional practice and within their own firms. Each industryREdesign workshop will focus on one distinct challenge with the intention of starting an ongoing effort to apply, measure and share the impact of ideas generated for each challenge.
